bù chǐ xià wèn

Literal Meaning:

• 不耻 (bù chǐ) – “not ashamed”
• 下问 (xià wèn) – “to ask those below”

Figurative Meanings:

• Showing a lack of arrogance or pride, and being open-minded to gain new knowledge.
