The Lam surname is over 4,000 years, but most of it was fuzzy, almost myth-like. One of those listed ancestors was 藍采和, one of the famous Eight Immortals, which I am unsure about.

The clearest part of the Lam history is the last 800 years when Generation 130 ancester 蓝大兴 moved to Dabu and established the Dabu Lams. The count was restarted and he is Generation 1. I am Generation 27 of the Dabu Lam.
